Lawren Harris (1885-1970)

Born in Brantford, Harris was one of the founding members of Canada’s renowned “Group of Seven” artists. The group pioneered a distinctly Canadian style of art in the early 20th century, focusing on Canadian landscapes. Harris worked in several artistic styles over his career, but is best known for his abstract Canadian landscapes, several of which have sold for record amounts since his death.
